The Ibn Siena Integrated School Foundation, Inc. (ISISF) is a joint venture of the MARKAZOS SHABAB AL MUSLIM FIL FILIBBIN, INC. and the RANAO COUNCIL, INC. based on the initial agreement of the two organizations, the establishment of the ISISF is the first step in their ultimate goal of establishing an International Islamic University in the Philippines.
Opening in June 1995, with only 143 pupils and six (6) teachers in English and Arabic in Junior Kinder, Senior Kinder and Grade 1 levels, its student population has now grown to 2,915 (SY: 2006-2007) with 179 faculty and staff. It now produces high school graduates who are only able to compete with the students from the best known and prestigious schools in and around Marawi City but are pften among the top-notch students in various competitive examinations in the country.
The ISISF is the first integrated school established in Marawi City and in Lanao del Sur, and perhaps the whole country. It integrates the Department of Education (DepEd) curriculum with those of the Madaris (Arabic School) resulting to a curriculum that is unique to ISIS. The school aims to become a model school in the Muslim communities in the Philippines producing a curriculum that is truly responsive to the true needs of Muslim Filipino. Encouraged by the phenomenal success of the ISISF in its early years, there is now a sprouting of integrated schools in Marawi City and its surrounding areas.
